As a customer, your enjoyable experience at a pub is often achieved as the end result of a lot of hard work.

I'd like to give you an insight in to what lengths we go to, to make sure that we get it right for you.

Our colleagues are at the heart of what we do, and we have pretty high expectations for the standards we aim to achieve, so we need to make sure we are giving them the right tools for the job.

Over the last month we have invested in training for all of our colleagues in the following ways:

Lydia Henderson recently completed her 3 day course studying for her WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits, and we are super proud to announce she passed with a merit! Any questions about wine, she's the one to ask (keep an eye out for the one with the shiny badge on her apron!).

Autumn Team Training; we closed the pub for an evening to complete a number of training exercises including, pairing wine with food, cocktail masterclass, cellar management, reservations management and our new menu cook off.

Kris Dekatris & Frankie Holmes spent a day on a Cask Marque ABCQ Cellar Management course, learning how to maintain excellent standards in our cellar and the art of keeping perfect beer.

We have also invested in Ben Ford's & Jim Dobson's pursuit of learning to drive. They are now behind the wheel with their L plates on, so watch out on the roads!
