New Autumn Menu Coming Soon
Although, summer is now officially on the wane, there are still things to look forward our delicious new Autumn menu!

All the old favourites will be staying (including Pie Wednesdays!). However, we thought we'd give our valued newsletter subscribers a special sneak preview of some of the new dishes joining our menu; these include:

Smoked Salmon & Dill Parfait Fresh North Atlantic smoked salmon bound with cream cheese and fresh dill, served with pickled walnuts and melba toast.

Duo of Round Green Farm Venison Char-grilled venison haunch medallions served on a bed of braised red cabbage and a miniature hotpot topped with sautéed potatoes and served with a red wine and juniper sauce.

Fillet of Hake Fresh hake grilled and served with sautéed greens, fondant potato and a creamy spinach, pea and watercress sauce.

The full menu launches on Tuesday October 3rd and you will also be able to access the full menu on our website from then.

August's Colleague of the Month
This month the team has recognised Senior Chef de Partie Cole Moult as their Colleague of the Month.

Cole joined the George & Dragon team in August 2013 after just completing his NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery at Stockport College.

Since then he has gone from strength to strength putting his learnt skills to practice and learning more about how a commercial kitchen runs and works.

This last month Cole has been a big part of apprentice chef Jack's induction to the kitchen brigade. He has set the standard of what can be attained and demonstrates what can be achieved with the right attitude.

From all of your George & Dragon family, well done Cole. Top job!

Benedict is in charge of Christmas!
We know it's only September but we thought we'd whisper very quietly that our Christmas menus are now online as well as our events this December. 

Benedict will also be co-ordinating all party bookings and taking deposits etc. So if you're feeling super organised this year, why not drop Benedict an email - and book your group party nice and early!
